Companies with the most public signals, by layer

Explore up to 10 companies per layer with evidence across five categories: funding (company-announced rounds, public listing events or US private offerings), hiring, standards memberships, grants and patents. Each category counts once; ties use the amount sold in US private offerings. The full table for every layer is below.

Sources you can explore

Explore company filings, public job boards, government awards and standards organizations through the links beside each signal. A missing figure means there is no confirmed value to show; it does not mean zero activity.

Coverage and definitions

Funding. Company-announced rounds show the amount and date of each sourced event. They are displayed separately from SEC offerings, because the same financing may appear in both. Listing events identify the issuing entity and link to company and exchange announcements. A listed group can include subsidiaries that are not themselves listed. US private offering amounts are the amount sold in SEC filings since Oct 27, 2024, using the latest amendment of each offering. They cover companies with a confirmed SEC identity and are not total funding. A company is shown as an SEC registrant, with its ticker and CIK, only when SEC's own ticker file lists its reviewed CIK; public companies rarely file Form D. A company not matched to an SEC filer may still be listed or raise funding elsewhere.

Hiring and memberships. Role counts cover supported public boards linked from company careers pages. Memberships include the OIF, LPO MSA, Ultra Ethernet Consortium and EBO MSA lists, UCIe promoter members, and individual relationships documented by companies or standards organizations. Each source link identifies the relationship; individual entries do not imply a complete membership directory. Previously listed memberships retain the date they were last confirmed. Other memberships and job openings may exist beyond this coverage.

Grants and patents. Grant recipients match the company website or a confirmed recipient name. US patent grants and published applications cover the last 24 months, exact confirmed applicant names and the CPC technology classes of each layer. CHIPS final awards and preliminary terms are separate; Horizon Europe amounts stay in euros.

Capital spending. SEC cash purchases of property and equipment cover each company's total spending, rather than AI infrastructure alone. Fiscal quarters can end on different dates, and finance leases are excluded.
